A Commitment to Learning

The Heritage Center, parent of the Heritage Center Museum, offers
wonderful opportunities for children and their families to learn
about Lancaster County's fascinating history. With so much to see
and do, you'll never be bored with history again.
Some programs are held at the Heritage Center Museum, while others
are held at the Lancaster
Quilt and Textile Museum. Both museums endeavor to provide
meaningful learning opportunities and experiences for the entire
community:
- Curriculum support and professional development
opportunities for Teachers
- A variety of Student
programs that are relevant to curriculum at many grade levels
and meet the Pennsylvania Department of Education standards.
- Programs for Adults
and Families.

Supporters of the Heritage Center's Educational Programs
The Heritage
Center of Lancaster County is the grateful recipient of donations
under the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development's
Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. To
date, in 2008, the Heritage Center has received donations from
Fulton Bank, Lift, Inc. and Capital Blue Cross. These donations

donations to approved non-profit organizations. The Heritage Center
is approved as an Educational Improvement Organization because
of the outstanding quality of its educational programs. The Heritage
Center offers numerous programs that directly benefit students
and teachers in southcentral Pennsylvania . These programs include
school visits to the Heritage Center 's two museums in downtown
Lancaster : The Lancaster Quilt & Textile Museum and the Heritage
